One-Piece Bar/Stem Swap Program: Getting Your Perfect Fit

At Cervélo, we design our bikes to be as fast as possible, which is why the S5, R5, Soloist, and select Caledonia-5s feature our advanced, integrated one-piece bar/stem combinations. However, comfort and biomechanical efficiency are critical components of performance, and we know that an aerodynamic bike is only truly fast if it fits you perfectly.

To help you achieve your ideal riding position, we offer a one-time, complimentary bar/stem swap for riders who have recently purchased a new S5, R5, Soloist, or select Caledonia-5 models.

If your stock handlebar and stem configuration doesn't quite match your fit requirements, you can exchange it for a different configuration under the following terms:

• Eligibility: This program applies exclusively to the specific integrated framesets/complete bikes listed below. Please locate your frame's model designation or technical serial prefix (SN) to confirm eligibility:

• (SN166) R5 Disc
• (SN161) Soloist Disc (*Frameset Only Purchases not Included*)
• (SN158) Caledonia-5 Disc — Note: Only valid for bikes Model Year 2027 and newer

To qualify for the swap program, your bike must be an original purchase from an Authorized Cervélo Retailer, and the request must be submitted within the first 60 days of ownership.

• Timeframe: Your exchange request must be initiated within the first 60 days of ownership.
• The Cost: Cervélo provides the replacement one-piece bar/stem hardware completely free of charge.
• Labor & Extra Parts: Please note that while the carbon hardware is free, any related shop labor costs or minor parts (such as new bar tape or internal routing supplies) required for the removal and installation are the rider’s responsibility.

💡 Keep Riding: If your preferred bar/stem combination is temporarily backordered or out of stock when you make the request, you do not need to leave your bike at the shop. Please continue riding your bike with the stock cockpit installed until the replacement hardware arrives at your retailer.

To ensure your internal routing and torque specs are handled with precise technical care, all swaps must be completed by a Cervelo Authorized Retailer.

Step 1: Determine Your Ideal Sizing

Work with a professional bike fitter or your local shop to identify the exact stem length and handlebar width you need to optimize your position.

Step 2: Contact Your Authorized Retailer

Visit or contact the Authorized Cervélo Retailer where you originally purchased your bike. They must submit the exchange request to us on your behalf within the 60-day window.

Step 3: Ride While You Wait

If the requested size is backordered, take your bike home and keep logging miles. Your dealer will notify you the moment the replacement cockpit arrives.

Step 4: Hardware Exchange & Installation:

Bring your bike back to the retailer. They will install the new integrated cockpit, route the internal cabling, and adjust your final stack and reach positioning.
